Teaching Positions in Beijing No.4 High School International Curriculum
Beijing No. 4 High School has over 100-year history as the most prestigious secondary school in China as measured by the acceptance of students to top-tier universities and high value career pathways. In addition to the 1,400 students studying on its main campus, Beijing No. 4 High School operates a distance learning program with more than one million subscribers throughout China. This proactive development of world-class educational opportunities is expanding from BHSF main campus to an international school – Beijing No.4 High School International Campus (“BHSF International Campus”). The vision and mission for the international curriculum program in both campuses are to expand the contribution of Beijing #4 High School to the preparation of its students for an American education in its elite universities. In this campus, the rigorous academic education that is the hallmark of Beijing #4 High School will be combined with an American high school curriculum characterized by higher order thinking skills leading to developing innovation and solving problems in a project based, real world learning environment. Since September 1, 2011, BHSF Main Campus has owned students of both 10th grade and 11th filtered through critical admission process. One year later, the BHSF International Campus was established. Up to date, these students have obtained unique experience in the new study environment with choreographed curricula and various activities. They are hardworking, smart and passionate for their future development. With the guidance and help of the excellent faculty team and management team, they are making tremendous progress and advance with full efforts toward their goals. Job Descriptions Teaching load: Normal teaching load is around 25 class hours and 15 preparation hours per week Teaching schedule: Day classes; Five days a week. Teaching location: Teacher is required to teach at BHSF International Campus. Student age:15-18 Class size:16-20 students Curriculum:Curricula guidelines are provided, but the teacher will develop his/her own syllabus and request teaching resources under leadership direction. Employment Duration One year contract, renewable according to mutual agreement Qualifications Native English-speaker Major or minor in content area Master's degree preferred in education or a related area Three or more years of teaching experience Teaching experience in American high schools preferred American teaching license preferred No major medical problems and physical disabilities No criminal record Chinese language skills not required Compensations and Benefits (1) Generous compensation package including salary, insurance, allowance for housing and transportation, etc. (2) Other benefits (paid vacation, foreign expert certificate, working visa etc.).
