一、学院简介

学院自2005年成立以来,秉承产学研、国际化、多学科交叉办学,面向社会发展与行业需求,聚焦医学影像和医疗健康信息,继承东北大学产学研经验,吸纳国外优秀教育资源,拥有世界一流的医疗健康产业平台和临床资源,打造生物医学工程领域最有产业影响力的学院。学院以东软医疗和飞利浦医疗产业为支撑,由东北大学和荷兰埃因霍温科技大学联合创建。学院具有学士学位、硕士学位和一级学科博士学位授予权。学院实行联合管理委员会领导下的院长负责制,工作人员与教师实行聘任制。学院现有教职55人,目前各类在校生600余人。

东北大学生物医学工程专业自1996年成立,是在运用现代信息技术解决医疗实际问题的过程中发展壮大起来的。1998年获得硕士学位授予权,2006年获得一级学科博士学位授予权,2008年获批为辽宁省重点学科,2009年成功申报医学影像计算教育部重点实验室,同年获批为教育部特色专业,2013年获批医学成像和智能分析教育部国家工程中心。

Positions to Prepare You and Your Talents for Action at the Sino-Dutch Biomedical and Information Engineering School, Northeastern University

 

 

School Profile

 

The Sino-Dutch Biomedical and Information Engineering School (BMIE) was founded in 2005 and it has always been upholding the school-running principles of combining industry, teaching and research, internationalization, and multidisciplinary association ever since then. Gearing to the needs of social development and industry, BMIE focuses on medical imaging and medical health information, inherits relevant experience of industry, teaching and research from Northeastern University (NEU), and absorbs excellent education resources domestically and internationally to make the school a leader in the industry of biomedical engineering. BMIE was jointly established by NEU and the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands with the active support from Neusoft Medical, Philips Healthcare. BMIE has taken the advantages of owning a world-class platform for the healthcare industry and clinical medical resources. The school features the program of biomedical engineering, and is qualified of Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree granting. The school follows the Dean Responsibility System under the leadership of the Joint Management Committee. BMIE exercises the appointment system for faculty and staff. The school has 55 faculty and staff, and a total of more than 600 current students.


The program of Biomedical Engineering was launched at NEU in 1996, which has been developed by applying the modern information technology into the solution of practical medical issues. BMIE was authorized to confer Master degree in 1998 and first-level discipline of doctoral degree in 2006. The subject was approved as a provincial key discipline in 2008. The application for the MOE Key Laboratory of Medical Image Computing was successfully accepted in 2009. The program of Biomedical Engineering was approved as a featured specialty of MOE in the same year. The school was approved as a State Engineering Center of Medical Imaging and Intelligent Analysis by MOE in 2013.
