Director and Principal Investigator position available
in the Institute for Translational Medicine, Zhejiang University, China
Founded in 1897, Zhejiang University (ZJU) is the most comprehensive leading university in China, with distinctive features and high reputations in education and research. In order to promote health science, address growing clinical needs, integrate the multidisciplinary advantages of the university, and bridge the gaps between basic science and clinical practice, ZJU has established the Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM), and is now seeking for the Director and Investigators at all levels in the fields of biomedical and translational sciences, including (but not limited to) Infectious Diseases; Stem Cells, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine; Neuropsychiatric Disorders; Gastrointestinal Cancer; Heart and Lung Disease; Kidney Disease; Endoscopic Technique; Visual Reconstruction; and Reproductive Health and Safety. Interdisciplinary researchers with interest in medical diagnosis and disease interference & prevention are also encouraged to apply. Qualifications and Requirements: 1. Director of the Institute for Translational Medicine Applicants should be established scholars (full professor or equivalent title) with a distinguished academic accomplishment and international reputation in fields of translational medicine. The post holder will be expected to enhance the institute’s profile both nationally and internationally. Experience in management would be an advantage. 2. Investigators Applicants should be a PhD or MD in areas relevant to the above-mentioned biomedical or translational research fields. An established, strong publication record or evidence of extensive experience in these fields is essential, or for early-career researchers, clear evidence of potential for these. The post holders will be expected to work closely with the clinicians in ZJU affiliated hospitals.
